For me it was 'Star Wars'. Whenever someone asks me why I got into this business, I guess that is my answer.
Like a lot of people my age, Star Wars was the right movie at the right time at the right age.
I was old enough to know that it was make believe and was intrigued by what it took to make it.
From then on I was always interested in what it took to bring a movie to the big screen.
I enjoy lighting because it appeals to my meticulous nature. Anyone can throw a light onto a scene, be it takes an eye for detail and an understanding of how real light acts in real life in order recreate those subtle nuances in artificial situations.
